 SYTHER MOVIE AWARDS 2023

Every year we are going to have a blog post talking bout winners in certain categories from that year.

This year's categories

1. Best soundtrack
2. Best movie album
3. Best Actor
4. Best Actress
5. Best supporting Actor
6. Best supporting Actress
7. Most impressive movie
8. Best theatre experience
9. Best movie
10. Best Director
11. Most Disappointing movie

Note - All awards are my opinion only, other opinions may vary.

1. Best Soundtrack

Winner - "Can You Hear The Music" - "Oppenheimer"

Ludwig Goransson takes home this award with the best soundtrack of the year and maybe of all time. His use of violins and synths in this soundtrack sends chills down your spine and wins this award by a long shot.

2. Best Movie Album

Winner - Spiderman: Across the Spiderverse

Metro Boomin, made one of the best albums to a movie ever. Songs like "Calling", "Am  I dreaming", and even "Annihilate" just leave you in awe of what the man can do.

An honorable mention to Barbie which also had a great album this year. But ATSV takes the win.

3. Best Actor

Winner - Cillian Murphy - Oppenheimer

A close call between Cillian and Leonardo in Killers of the Flower Moon, but Cillian takes the win in this category for delivering one of the most spine chilling, mesmerizing

performances I personally have seen.

He became Oppenheimer for the movie and there can be no better person to take this award.

4. Best Actress

Winner - Margot Robbie - Barbie

The words Margot Robbie is Barbie is the most evident here. She does a marvelous job as Barbie and honestly she became barbie. There was no competition according to me for this award.

5. Best Supporting Actor

Winner - Robert Downey Jr. - Oppenheimer

Oppenheimer with their third award. RDJ after all he has achieved didn't even need to try but he did and delivered one of the most killer performances.
But this year he had tough competition, Ryan Gosling was another man who gave a compelling competition and made this the award very tough to give.
RDJ wins this, but you could also say it's a tie.

6. Best Supporting Actress

Winner - Emily Blunt - Oppenheimer

Another tough category. But the Oppenheimer actress takes the award. This year had great performances from females, strong performances you could say, Alia Bhatt in Rocky aur Rani, Nayantara in Jawan gave compelling performances, performances with power. But they couldn't've toppled the level of spine chill that Emily gives.

7. Most Impressive Movie

Winner - Jawan

This year, Jawan personally for me had zero hopes, the trailers seemed a bit hopeless for something I would enjoy. But I ended up enjoying it very much, making this an impressive movie and I think my review for the movie speaks the same.

A close second was Barbie which I also had very low expectations for.

8. Best Theatre Experience

Winner - Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour

This movie won this category without any competition. NO MOVIE CAME CLOSE. The movie that had 150+ people in each theatre singing in unison to Taylor swift for three hours is something I will never forget or experience again.

If it was 2021 then this movie would have had a bit of competition with spiderman no way home, but it did come out this year and blew every other theatre experience out of the water.

She really is the queen of pop.

9. Best Movie

Winner - Oppenheimer

Oppenheimer owning the awards this year, with best movie to top it off. Christopher Nolan outdid himself making this magnum opus. The clear winner

10. Best Director

Winner - Christopher Nolan - Oppenheimer

The last of the "Best" Awards goes to Christopher Nolan, Oppenheimer picking up another win.
Nothing much i can say about this. Little to no competition for this spot.

Most Disappointing movie

Winner - The Flash

The sloppy CGI, weird story, bunch of loopholes and crappy directing and "Eh" acting are just a few reasons why this movie is just unbearable to watch.
